The Proof app does not collect, transmit, or share personal data from your photo workflow. If you choose to contact the Proof team through this website, the details you submit are used only to respond to your message, review beta feedback, and improve Proof.
Your Photos
Proof accesses photos on your Mac solely to display thumbnails and allow you to view, rate, and cull them. No photos, metadata, or file paths are uploaded to any server. Everything stays on your device.
Your Catalog
All ratings, flags, adjustments, and settings are stored in a SQLite database on your Mac at ~/Library/Application Support/Proof/. This file never leaves your device.
Analytics
Proof does not use any analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting services. No usage data is collected.
Third-Party Services
Proof does not include analytics SDKs, advertising networks, cloud sync, or telemetry services. On launch, Proof may contact GitHub to check whether a newer version is available. That update check does not upload your photos, catalog, edits, metadata, or file paths.
Website Forms
The support and beta feedback forms send the information you enter to the Proof team by email through Resend. This can include your name, email address, app and macOS versions, computer model, workflow notes, experience rating, and bug details. Do not submit photos, passwords, private file paths, or other sensitive information. Form submissions are used only to review your message, improve Proof, and follow up when appropriate.
Security
Proof is signed and notarized for macOS. Read the Security & Trust page for verification commands, update-channel details, and local cache locations.
